Bank Statements - OFX file download

Updated today

What is the OFX file?

The OFX format is a standardized file format used to exchange financial data, such as bank statements, transactions, and investment records, between financial institutions and software. This is widely used among third party software and middleware in order to safely and quickly share information.

In order to facilitate this integration we have added the option to export the extracted data as OFX, keeping the same field mapping that we have in the JSON files.

How to use it?

The option is live now limited to “Bank Statements” only. At the moment it is possible to download one OFX file at the time, here is a detailed guide on how to extract it:

  1. Navigate to the “Inboxes” section, then go to “bank statements”.

  2. Select a bank statement and click “View”.

  3. Once inside the document viewer, navigate to the “JSON” tab and click the OFX box.

  4. After clicking the “OFX” box the download will start.

  5. Check your downloads folder to grab the OFX export.

At the moment we can only export one file to OFX at the time, this can only be done using the UI option and there aren’t available endpoints to do a GET call on it.
