What is Business Insights?
It's a feature in the Veryfi app where you type a question about your expenses in plain English and get back a report with charts and data. No manual exports, no filter setup.
How do I access it?
Go to app.veryfi.com/business-insights in your Veryfi web portal.
How do I use it?
1. Type your question in the input box and submit
2. Adjust the date range after you get results to see more or less data
3. Bookmark questions you ask regularly — saved queries load in a few seconds instead of the usual ~10
What kinds of questions can I ask?
Anything about your expense data. Some examples:
• What is the average amount I spent this month?
• What did I spend on meals & entertainment in Q3?
• What's my total advertising spend by vendor?
• Show me all uncategorized expenses this month
• How many documents were processed each month?
What gives the best results?
Questions about vendor names, categories, dates, totals, and tags are very reliable. Questions that dig into individual line items (unit prices, quantities, subtotals) can be less consistent.
How fast does it run?
New questions take about 10 seconds. Bookmarked ones are near-instant.
Is it available on mobile or via Web UI?
Business Insights is web-only for now.
Is my data secure?
Yes. Veryfi uses bank-level encryption, is SOC 2 Type II certified, and doesn't share your data with anyone.
