Payment Type for Receipts, Bills & Invoices

Payment type can be both required (in red) or optional (not in red) depending on the type of your Document.

You may notice that the Payment Type field is sometimes highlighted in red (required field) on your documents and other times it isn't. This is determined by the Document Type as well as the Due Date. Here is a breakdown:

Payment Type is Required:

  • Invoice or Bill with no Due date,  

  • Invoice or Bill with the Due date Today or in the Past

  • Receipts

Payment Type is Not Required:

  • Bills with Due date in the Future

  • Invoices with Due date in the Future

  • Money In Documents
