Product Navigation Guide: Which Veryfi product is for me?

Veryfi has two products and they serve pretty different needs. Here's a quick breakdown to help you pick the right one.

Updated today

Q: What's the difference between the two products?

Expense Management App is for people who want to track expenses. You scan receipts, run reports, manage vendors, and connect bank feeds. It has a mobile app and works with accounting tools like Xero and QuickBooks.

Data Extraction API is for those who need to pull structured data out of documents programmatically. No UI, no expense tracking. You send documents in, you get JSON back.

───

Q: I just want to track my expenses. Which one do I use?

Expense Management App. It's built exactly for that. Free plan gets you 10 documents/month with 6-month retention. Paid is $19.99/user/month and includes 300 documents/month plus integrations. There's also a 50-document free trial if you want to test it first.

───

Q: I need to process documents in my own system / build an integration. Which one do I use?

Data Extraction API. Free tier gives you 100 documents/month with API access only (no UI). Paid starts at $500/month, which covers 6,250 receipts or 3,125 invoices. You build the integration on your end.

───

Q: What's free vs paid for each?

Expense Management App
• Free: 10 docs/month, no integrations, 6-month document retention
• Paid ($19.99/user/month): 300 docs/month, QuickBooks/Xero integrations, full reporting

Data Extraction API
• Free: 100 docs/month, API access only, no integrations
• Paid ($500/month): 6,250 receipts or 3,125 invoices included, additional docs billed at $0.08/receipt or $0.16/invoice

───

Q: Can I get a mobile app?

Only with the Expense Management App. The Data Extraction API has no mobile app.

───

Q: What if I process more documents than my plan allows?

For the Expense Management App, you can buy extra packages of 300 scans for $19.99 each, either as a one-time purchase or added to your subscription if you need them regularly.

For the Data Extraction API, overages are billed automatically on your next renewal invoice at $0.08 per receipt or $0.16 per invoice.

───

Q: I need both expense tracking and API access. Can I do that?

Not with a single product. The Expense Management App has no API access, and the Data Extraction API has no expense tracking. If you need both, you'd be looking at two separate tools or a custom setup.
