Overview
The Veryfi Chrome Extension lets you send a receipt or invoice straight to your Veryfi account without ever downloading it first. Install it, pin it to your toolbar, and from then on, capturing a document takes a single click: open a receipt in Gmail, on Amazon, or on almost any page, click the extension icon, and it be automatically sent for processing.
It's built for the moments when expense and AP work usually stalls in the browser: a receipt buried in an inbox, an Amazon invoice you can only print, a checkout confirmation page that vanishes as soon as you navigate away. Instead of downloading, printing, or manually uploading, you click once, optionally add a note, and the document lands in your Veryfi Portal, ready for analysis.

How It Works
Pin the icon. Add the extension to your Chrome toolbar so capture is always one click away.
Open a receipt. This can be a Gmail message, an Amazon invoice, or a checkout/receipt page on any online store.
Click the icon. Veryfi sends the document and extracts the vendor, total, and line items, then confirms once it's done.
Three Ways to Capture
Gmail
Open a receipt or invoice email and click the extension icon.
If the email has a receipt or invoice attachment (image or PDF), that file is sent directly.
If there's no attachment, the open email itself is converted into a layout-preserving PDF (keeping headers, tables, and inline images) and sent instead.
If an email has several attachments, choose to send them as one combined transaction (zipped together) or as separate transactions (one document per file). Anything you don't want to send can be unchecked before it goes out.
Amazon
On a printable invoice or order summary page, choose to capture the whole page as a PDF or select just an area with the crop tool.
Any Other Store or Receipt Page
On any standard web page, capture the full page as a PDF or select just the relevant area as a screenshot. The page title and URL are saved in the notes for reference.
What Happens After You Send a Document
A small panel appears on the page, first showing upload progress, then the extracted fields once processing completes. Before sending, you can add your own notes (for example, a client name, project, or a "reimbursable" tag). For Gmail captures, the sender, recipient, subject line, and time sent are automatically written into the notes so the document stays linked to its original email.
Attachments larger than 10 MB are rejected before upload, with a clear error message shown.
Setup
Make sure you have a Veryfi account.
Retrieve your API credentials (Client ID, Username, and API Key) from Settings → Keys in the Veryfi portal.
Enter these credentials on the extension's Options page, or connect directly from app.veryfi.com where that option is offered.
Credentials are stored locally in your Chrome browser profile (chrome.storage.local). They are not synced across devices and are only ever sent to Veryfi's API (api.veryfi.com).
Data & Privacy
According to its Chrome Web Store listing, the extension handles personally identifiable information, financial and payment information, authentication information, and website content, all in support of its core receipt-capture functionality. The developer states this data is not sold to third parties, not used for unrelated purposes, and not used to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes. Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to download or print anything to capture a receipt? No. That's the problem the extension solves. You capture directly from the page you're already viewing, whether it's a Gmail message, an Amazon invoice, or a store checkout page.
What if my receipt email doesn't have an attachment? The extension turns the open email itself into a layout-preserving PDF (including headers, tables, and inline images) and sends that instead.
